Hi Matthew,
Thanks for the feedback!
We’ve got this feature planned and is being tracked in our development issue tracker here: http://tickets.openaustraliafoundation.org.au/browse/PA-121
We’ll update back here when we’ve made more progress on this feature.
Thanks again!

Indicate when an application has been approved or rejected
It'd be really handy if you could show when an application has been approved or rejected.

Thanks Daniel, sounds like good enough reasons to me, I’ve created a ticket for this:
-
Option to subscribe to alerts based on type of development, e.g. residential, retail, office, etc.
Most of the planning permit in my area are for dual occupancy residential developments, house extensions, etc. Though I am mainly interested in commercial and other large scale development. Beyond the next door neighbours, I couldn't care less about these micro residential developments, so would be nice to filter them out.
I understand that the councils may not be providing sufficient information to do so, however.

Get a life.
Typical meddling busy bodies. I bet it's a different song you sing when you want to develop you own land or cut down a tree that is cracking your foundations or blocking your pipes.

Change the graphic of an airplane's banner to look less like a typical search box.
The airplane graphic shows the statistics of the number of applications in the database.
A white rectangle with black text in the top right corner of the page looks exactly like a search box on 90% of the web-sites, and suggests an inappropriate affordance.

Thanks for the suggestion Julian.
I’ve logged it on our issue tracker: http://tickets.openaustraliafoundation.org.au/browse/PA-327
Do you have any suggestions for how we could improve the design?
